Melanie Collins graduates from Florida State

Melanie Collins received her bachelor’s degree in psychology on Friday evening, Aug. 2 from Florida State University at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee.

A 2019 graduate of Franklin County High School, Collins is the daughter of Scott Collins and Deborah Collins.

She played college softball at Chipola College in Marianna, and golf at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama before completing her undergraduate education at FSU.

Collins, 23, will be teaching English at Wakulla High School for the 2024-5 school year.

Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
