Boat club to meet Sept. 19
Hi Y’all, I think that everything is slowing down getting ready for a crazy busy October.
Just a reminder, all of Lanark weekly events information is the same; changes will be added or deleted as needed weekly. Lanark Village Coffee Time with John continues to open Chillas Hall Monday through Friday, 9 to 11 a.m. ET. If you are new to the area or just visiting, it is a great way to meet neighbors and get information. All are welcome.
The Lanark Village Association RV/Boat Storage still has a few lots available for rent.
You can now rent on a prorated basis, anytime through the year. Check us out, we have great rates and specials for Lanark Village residents. For more information use the email at the end of this article.
The LVA is preparing for a Halloween party, and we are looking for people who would like to do a skit or any type of entertainment. You can contact me at the email below. This Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 pm, the Fresh Market will be located at the Lanark Village Boat Club, 2364 Highway 98. Email 98freshmarket@gmail.com for more information if you want to be a vendor or have any questions. Come rain or shine!
The American Legion will have John Jeremiah and Kevin Andrew from Rockulla Music to entertain you on Saturday, Sept. 14, along with the Chef’s Block Food Truck. All are welcome, 6 to 8 p.m. ET
Our St. James/Lanark Fire Department continues to train and get certified on the many things that volunteer firefighters must be certified for. Our community is looking forward to the grand opening and to pitching in to help the department grow. The Lanark area remains under a fire ban ordered by the Franklin County commissioners.
The Lanark Village Golf Club now has disc golf, as well as regular nine-hole golf. We have three baskets now and hope to add more with more interest in the game. Our beautiful little course is perfect for brushing up on your game or just a relaxing day with a bay view, playing either or both.
The Lanark Village Boat Club will have its board and members meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The board will have their business meeting first and then invite participation from members and potential members.
Love Lanark!
