CNN’s Jake Tapper does fake mea culpa

“Blinding ignorance does mislead us. O! Wretched mortals, open your eyes!” – Leonardo da Vinci

CNN and the legacy leftist media’s theme is to repeat a lie or half-truth over and over, channel by channel, until it becomes “the narrative,” and reality be damned!

That game is over. The divorce between the legacy media and the people is ongoing. And in this case, the media have been so abusive that in a marriage the media would have been the husband.

Jake Tapper is on his rehabilitation tour, calling this as bad as Watergate. If so, CNN should be an honorary “plumber.”

Tapper has finally seen the error of his ways, and that road to redemption is paved with book royalty gold.

Tapper, which I thought was Bill Clinton’s Secret Service code name, was one of the many CNN anchors promulgating lies. In his book he tries to blame the Biden administration for hiding Joe Biden’s mental decline and Hunter’s corruption. We all knew it, so why try to cover your tracks? I’ve seen better cover-ups on the ladies at the strip club out near the airport.

The media give the same weight to fiction, when it fits their liberal narrative, as they give to inconvenient facts that are not.

As I pointed out in column after column, most of us knew that the media and the Biden White House were lying to us. It should not be that Jake Tapper and the rest should be apologizing for being “misled” by the Biden administration. They should repent by finally telling us that they knew and went along anyway. Not only did they go along, they embellished the lies and they attacked anyone who pointed out the obvious.

The only part of CNN that inadvertently got it right about Joe Biden was the weather guy, when one day he called for 83 and foggy.

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough has chosen not to apologize. He said, “2024 was the best version ever of Biden.” I would say Joe Scarborough is dumber than a box of rocks, but The Geological Society of America might sue me.

The media find comfort in each other. They would rather peddle comfortable lies than unpleasant truths. They still want you to believe that a 10-year-old should be allowed to choose his or her gender, but 28-year-olds can’t understand their student loans.

The result? Many Americans are cutting their cable TV and streaming. The government – controlled monopoly of cable is the only place such expensive tripe could survive. A cable technician was at my neighbor’s cutting their cable and asked me what time it was. I said, “between 2 and 5.”

The legacy media were complicit in calling Trump a “Nazi,” egging on assassins. The president has Jewish grandkids, his daughter converted, and he is cutting funding to Harvard because of its antisemitism. If he is a Nazi, he is the worst one ever.

The media rhetoric has been mocked by Kanye West, who is now promoting the Nazi symbol with his brand. His new song is titled “Heil Hitler.” He has the right to keep pressing the Nazi theme, but I do not think the Nazis will let him join; some restrictions still apply.

D.C. being what it is, Rep. James Comer of the House Oversight Committee is launching an investigation. Joe Biden remains defiant, wagging his finger at the camera and maintaining in the wake of all this, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky!”

For years, weak-willed Republicans like George Bush just tolerated the biased media like a bullied kid. Trump flipped the switch. He pushes back, and when he gets asked a stupid question, he calls out the reporter.

All media credibility is lost, and they are on their heels. We need an honest Fourth Estate to hold politicians accountable — on the left and right.

Trump is taking a jet from Qatar (the most expensive Jet since Aaron Rogers), and the weakened media can hardly push back. I am not saying Trump can do anything he wants now, but his renaming the Gulf of America so roiled the AP that he banned them from the Press Room. Just wait until they find out what Trump has in mind for the Black Sea.
