We should be treated better by county workers

I’ve lived in Franklin County for 13 years, I am a Florida native born in Tampa. I lost my drivers license, which had not expired. I replaced my license because I was no longer required to wear glasses. My old license was cut across the right corner by the people at the Apalachicola courthouse when I was issued a new license.

I went to the Apalachicola courthouse to get a new drivers license printed off. There were three women sitting behind the desk on their cell phones.

I told them what I needed, a replacement drivers license. One lady got up, left after a few minutes of my trying to get a new license printed.

I was told they could not help me because I did not have an appointment. There was no one else in the office but the three employees on their cellphones and me, waiting to be helped.

My husband approached one of the ladies to set me up an appointment for later that afternoon and she told him that because I was rude they would not give me an appointment. I will be writing my check in Wakula County for my replaced drivers license. We should not be treated this way by the people we pay salaries.

Sincerely and sadly,

Anni Ross
