Burt earns doctorate in physical therapy

Dr. Madison Burt, DPT, of Pensacola, and formerly of Franklin County, received her doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of South Alabama in the spring commencement ceremony on May 9.

She is the daughter of Gethia Burt, of Pensacola, and Crossley Ford, of Okolona, Mississippi. 

She attended Franklin County High School and graduated as the 2018 valedictorian. She was also dual-enrolled at Gulf Coast State College and graduated magna cum laude with her associate of arts degree in 2018. 

In 2020, she completed her bachelor of science degree in exercise science and graduated magna cum laude at the University of West Florida. Madison then completed her post-baccalaureate doctoral-level program at the University of South Alabama and earned her doctor of physical therapy degree in 2025. 



Additionally, she completed 34 weeks of clinical rotation internships in acute care, outpatient, and neurological rehabilitations.
