Free prep course for ham radio license

The Franklin County Emergency Management office will host a free prep course for the general level Ham Radio license.

Because this is the second level of ham radio licenses, the first level, the technician license. has to be completed before taking the general level. Both tests can be taken at the same time; however, technician level material will not be covered in this class.

The classes will be held at the emergency operations center, 28 Airport Road Apalachicola, every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. from Thursday, April 4 through Thursday, May 9. For more information about the class please contact Rob Zingarelli at W4ZING.radio@gmail.com.
