LVA to meet on Nov. 12

Hi Y’all,

Happy Halloween and Fall, and Happy Veterans’ Day!

Last Sunday, Nov. 3, the veterans from the American Legion Post 82 in Lanark attended a reception held at the Carrabelle History Museum for Bill Daniels, who was chosen as their veteran honoree.

On Friday, Nov. 8 the American Legion Post 82 will be serving burgers along with the live music of Bat Bennett, from 5 to 8 p.m. ET and all are welcome.

October and November should be 60-day months because so much is happening. Then the time changes and we are all tired and it’s dark. Lanark Village Association had their Halloween party on Halloween because so much was going on we couldn’t get a date in so we just took our Thirsty Thursday, which was Halloween anyway.

There was voting at Chillas Hall in Lanark Village on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Chillas Hall was closed on Monday, Nov. 4 to set up for voting. The Lanark Village Association will not be able to have its monthly meeting because of this closing. The meeting will be rescheduled to Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. due to Monday being Veterans’ Day. Nominations for 2025 Lanark Village Association board will be discussed and taken at this meeting.

The Lanark Village Golf Club will have its monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14. The meeting will be at the American Legion at 5 p.m. The nominating committee will report its progress on getting candidates for positions on the board.

The Lanark Village Boat Club will have its monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The club will be discussing board positions and nominations. On Saturday, Nov. 16 they will have their monthly pancake breakfast.

Love Lanark.
