Getting your penny’s worth

The Penny’s Worth thrift shop at 195 Avenue E in Apalachicola, an outreach of Trinity Episcopal Church, is getting ready for the Christmas holiday with a complete assortment of festive gifts for family and friends to go along with its usual offerings of gently used clothing, and lots of items for home and kitchen. In photo above, volunteers Connie Finneran, left, and Marlene Seaborn sort out donated items for sale. Penny’s Worth is usually open Tuesdays and Saturdays, although it will be closed Nov. 30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It will then be open on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 14. Closed for Christmas Dec. 21, 24, 28 and 30, and reopening on Saturday, Jan. 4.
