Franklin County wins two on the road
Franklin County upped its record to 3-0 with two wins on the road last week.
On Dec. 3 in Tallahassee, the Seahawks downed Community Leadership Academy 59-48.
The team was led by sophomore Sadiq Jones with 15 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Freshman Braelin Morris added 10 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Kayden Drake added eight points, senior Ajaylen McNair six, junior Ja’michael Miller five, freshman Karcen Poloronis and sophomores Jmiah Allen and Drew Richards each four, and junior Neo Robinson three.
On Friday at Sneads, the Seahawks won 59-50.
Miller led the team with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while freshman Dre North tallied 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jones, who was in foul trouble most of the night, scored eight points, as did Morris.
Allen and Poloronis each contributed five, with two from Robinson, who pulled down seven rebounds.
The team shot 59 percent from the field, but just 18 percent from beyond the arc and 36 percent from the free throw line.

Meet the Editor
David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
