Carlos Heyward Daniels, 82, of Carrabelle Florida, passed away on March 3, 2024. He was born on February 20, 1942, in Carrabelle, FL. Carlos leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work.
Carlos dedicated his career as an electrical engineer to NASA during the historic moon missions of the 1960s, a source of great pride for him. He later retired from Martin Marietta in the early 1990s. , Carlos found joy in hobbies such as beekeeping, gardening, home improvements, and exploring his family’s ancestry.
A loving father, Carlos cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was known for his passion for westerns, building things with his hands, and his deep attachment to his family roots. In his younger days, he tended to bees and planted fruit trees with enthusiasm.
Carlos is survived by his son Danny Daniels, daughter Pam Daniels, daughter-in-law Cheryl Daniels, brothers Charles Daniels and Wiilliam Daniels. Grandchildren Paul Daniels, Bonnie Daniels, Ashley Gonzalez, Bryan Duffy and Sean Duffy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Erma Daniels, mother Fannie Daniels, and father Charles Aaron Daniels.
A memorial service will be held at Ochlockonee River State Park, 429 State Park Road, Sopchoppy, FL 32358, on March 10th at 1:30 pm. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Charles McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy, FL.
Carlos Heyward Daniels will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love for his family, and his passion for his hobbies. May he rest in peace.
