Evelyn Clark Babb passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. Evelyn was born on April 2, 1932, to William Henry Clark and Rosa Lee Clark in Apalachicola. Evelyn was a long-time member of First Methodist Church and served in many capacities over the years. Evelyn never went far from Apalachicola; it was her home. She was a hard worker, first at the A&P supermarket and the Dixie theater and finally at Apalachicola State Bank for many, many years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred E. Babb, Jr. (the love of her life), her four brothers, Percy Clark, William Clark, George Clark and Charlie Clark, her two sisters, Rosa Lee Ray and Nancy Clark Snow, and her grandson, Fred E Babb, IV.
Survivors include her son, Fred E. Babb, III, two grandsons, Steven Babb and Ryan Babb, her great grandchildren, Tate Babb, Easton Babb and Korbin Babb, her niece that she helped raise, Candy Snow Timberlake (Steve) and many nieces and nephews and she loved them all. Evelyn also leaves behind many friends and co-workers, all special. She leaves behind a dear friend, Melanie “Toonie” Waddell and a very special caregiver, Sherri Allen. Evelyn, “Auntie”, was loved and will be greatly missed.
