Tanya Michelle Shivers, age 44, passed away on August 3rd, 2023, in Panama City, FL.

She was born June 29th, 1979, in Mount Dora, Florida. She was a graduate of Florida State University and earned a master’s degree in education from the University of West Florida. She was a teacher for the Wakulla County School System for 15 years. She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Tanya was married to George Joanos for 24 years and very passionate about her family.

She is also survived by her parents, William Shivers (Donna) and Becky Noffsinger (Earl); three sons, Nicholas, Alex and Angelo; four grandchildren, Ariel, Alyanna, Avery and Ivy; five brothers, Thomas Noffsinger, Paul Noffsinger, Travis Noffsinger, Gary Noffsinger, and Austin Shivers; and mother-in-law, Margaurite Joanos.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road. The funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2901 Kerry Forest Parkway, with interment immediately following at Roselawn Cemetery.
