Festival to bring ‘Joyful’ Bowe
In a concert sure to electrify the faithful, the Florida Seafood
Festival has turned to one of the most promising young artists making a name
for himself in Christian music.
Dante Bowe, worship pastor at Addereth Church in Columbus,
Georgia, will bring the sound of the Bethel Music and Maverick City Music collectives,
and Elevation Worship, to the Battery Park stage on Friday, Nov. 5, on an
evening the festival has long dedicated to a night of Christian musicianship.
The evenings worship starts at 5 p.m. with The Gathering,
and JD Music and Company, with Bowe taking the stage at 8 p.m.
Dante is very popular on Christian radio and he leads songs
with the three top Christian bands in the United States, said Anthony Croom,
the member of the festivals all-volunteer board of directors who handled the selection.
We chose Dante because he communicates a positive message
through his ministry. With his new single Joyful, we feel like our community
could and would embrace that positive and encouraging message after all that
our county has been through in the last few years, Croom said. We also wanted
to give them the best in worship this year. and Dante Bowes music is one of
the very best.
If you tune in to any church, I assure you that you will
hear music from either Elevation, Bethel or Maverick City Music, he said.
Bowe’s latest top songs “I Thank God, “Anything Is
Possible,” and “Champion” have been popular hits on Christian
radio.
In 2017, Bowe released his debut single, “Potter and
Friend” featuring Jesse Cline, shortly followed with the independent
release of his debut studio album, Son of a Father.
Bowes single “Champion” was followed by three
standalone singles: “Don’t Talk About It” featuring Jesse Cline,
“Be Alright” featuring Amanda Lindsey Cook, and “Voice of
God” featuring Steffany Gretzinger and Chandler Moore.
In 2021, he released his second studio album, Circles,
which contained the hit single “Joyful” and which debuted at No. 7
on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart in the United States.
Bowe received three nominations for the 2021 GMA Dove
Awards, being
nominated for New Artist of the Year, Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the
Year for “Joyful,” and Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year for
“Voice of God.”
