Panama City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony planned for Dec. 3rd

The City of Panama City is hosting its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 3, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. The Christmas Tree is located on the backside of City Hall at the intersection of Grace Avenue and W. 5th Street.

A short ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. with the Christmas Tree being lit at approximately 5:25 p.m. Santa Claus is expected to arrive via fire truck following the ceremony.


Families can also enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies while playing in the “snow” and listening to Christmas music performed live by the NuGulf Coast Choir.


The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring cameras for photos with Santa.

Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
