FHP chaplain to offer Passover seder
Pastor Rudie Guta will be presenting a brief overview of the Jewish Seder meal and its rich meaning for Christians at Fellowship Baptist Church of Apalachicola during the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, April 10.
Pastor Guta has a special interest in Jewish history and customs and has traveled to Israel six times. He has been serving as a chaplain for the Florida Highway Patrol since 1995 and recently retired as a chaplain for the Panama City Police Department after 17 years of ministry.
Ms. Kathy George is leading a Women’s Bible Study at Fellowship Baptist Church of Apalachicola each Tuesday at 2 p.m. during the month of April. Bring a favorite refreshment and a friend(s)!
Meet the Editor
David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
