Walking safely, parking smartly

Visitors to downtown Apalachicola will now know exactly where to park, and where the crosswalks are, after the city and county collaborated on a $15,000 project to paint the crosswalks and parking spaces.

Following a request from the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce, the funding was split equally between city monies and those out of Commissioner Smokey Parrish’s road money.
The work was completed by Marc Marchant, with New Line Parking Lot Striping LLC.
