Blaze destroys vacant St. George Island trailer

No one was injured as the result of morning fire on St. George Island destroyed a vacant camper trailer, 

John Alonzo, the assistant chief of the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department, said that after the call came in at 11:42 a.m., 10 firefighters, three of the department’s trucks and its emergency medical service vehicle arrived at the site, at the intersection of Randolph Street and Palmer Street, to find the  trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Alonzo said no one was in the camper at the time of the blaze, and the owner was out of town.

He said the fire department completed putting out the blaze at about 1 p.m.
