AHS Class of ‘73 plans 50th reunion Saturday
The Apalachicola High School Class of 1973, the first class to graduate from the “new” school, will host its 50th class reunion on Saturday, June 17.
The reunion will be from 5 to 10 p.m. at Apalachicola Masonic Lodge #76 F & AM, at 3 Chestnut Street in Apalachicola. BYOB, but bottled water and sodas will be provided.
The Class of 1973 attended Chapman all through school, and even ordered their class rings, in the 11th grade, with a “C” on the crest, but then ended up graduating from AHS.
The class had 42 graduates that year. Its valedictorian and salutatorian both still live in Apalach, as do several other classmates. Some stayed after high school and some retired there. Bob Howell was class president.
For more information on the reunion, reach out to Howell at howell2102@netzero.net or Denise Lunsford at dbdolphin50@yahoo.com
