Lanark Village Association to meet tonight

Hi Y’all.

The Lanark Village Golf Club had its monthly Yard Sale on Saturday, Feb. 3. This event has been changed to the first Saturday of each month. Remember to bring those donations on sale day. Thank you for your continued support. Also, the Golf Club meeting will be held at the LV Boat club on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m.

I reported to you that Exercise with Billy had been discontinued. Well, that determined group of people have filled in with each other taking turns leading the exercises. Make your plans to continue exercising at Chillas Hall at 9 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Lanark Village Association will have their members’ meeting on Monday, Feb. 5. They are working hard to pull together some committees for events and they still are in need of a property manager and a ways and means chairperson. If you would like to get involved and are a member, step up to help your community. I will be able to fill you in with more information after the meeting. There will be the monthly Covered Dish on Sunday, Feb. 11 at Chillas Hall at 1 p.m. They will also be having their regular schedule of Tuesday Night Game Night at 6 p.m., Wednesday Bingo at 6 p.m. and Thirsty Thursday with social hour at 5 p.m followed by covered dish dinner at 6:00 p.m.

If you are wanting to know more about the Lanark Village Association and Boat Storage, or any of our organizations (Lanark Village Golf Club, Lanark Village Boat Club, we have the applications for all) stop by Chillas Hall for Coffee Hour. This is a great way to get to know your neighbors. Open from 9 to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.

The American Legion, Post 82 has some exciting events coming up over the weekend. Kicking off the weekend will be their famous Burger Night. On Saturday, Feb. 10, the Sons will be having a fundraiser at C-Quarters cooking up some delicious smoked chicken dinners. There will be music by John Jeremiah for your pleasure. You can take out, or there will be tables set up. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the American Legion. Then plan to come out on Sunday, Feb. 11 for a Super Bowl party, open to the public, with doors open at 4 p.m, game starts at 6:30 p.m. Bring an appetizer to go with American Legion wings.

That’s All Folks! Love Lanark
