Spring dance March 2 at Chillas Hall

Hi Y’all,

This article will be short this week. I misquoted the name of the Lanark Village Association dance coming up on Saturday, March 2. The dance will be held at Chillas Hall, and it is the “Spring Dance at the Tiki Hut.” We are looking forward to a great time and hope that you join us.

The Lanark Village Golf Club had to postpone the golf tournament last Saturday due to the weather forecast. Please watch out for a make-up date.

On Saturday, March 2, there will be a yard sale for the Lanark Village Golf Club, from 8 a.m. to noonish. This will replace the sale which they used to have on the first Monday of each month. Now it is every first Saturday. They have lots of great stull and will still accept donations on the sale day. Please, no donations of clothes. For information call 850-528-7662.

On Saturday, March 16, grab your green and come out for the Lanark Village Golf Club St. Patty’s Golf Cart Parade. All are welcome to decorate and join the fun. Line up in the Golf Club parking lot across from Chillas Hall at 3 p.m. ending up at the American Legion Post 82 on Oak Street at 4 p.m. for judging of the carts, food, music and karaoke (weather permitting).

All the weekly events will be available for your enjoyment. Here is your rundown on what’s going on this week: Thirsty Thursday/Covered Dish at Chillas, 5 to 7 p.m. and the Lanark Village Boat Club meeting at the Boat Club, starting at 6 p.m.; Friday, American Legion Burger Night, p.m.; Saturday, Lanark Village Boat Club pancake breakfast (still only $7), 9 to 11 a.m. and Karaoke at the American Legion 7 p.m.; Sunday, Pizza at the Legion, 5 p.m.; Taco Tuesday at the Legion, 5 p.m., and Lanark Village Game Night at Chillas starting at 6 p.m.; and Wednesday is Bingo at Chillas Hall, 6 p.m.
