New Nautical Ventures store sets sail

Six months after Wefings Marine, Franklin County’s oldest boat dealership, dating back 115 years, was sold to a South Florida company, the new Nautical Ventures snipped the ribbon on its remodeled location in Eastpoint.

The company, based in Fort Lauderdale with dealership locations also in Palm Beach, Sarasota, Stuart, and Tampa, hosted a BBQ, beer and music event June 8 at the store, at 131 U.S. 98.

“The building sports the firm’s slogan, “The go-to people for fun on the water.” 

Representatives of the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce arranged the ribbon cutting, which was handled by store manager Eliott Buss and his staff.



In attendance with Apalachicola Mayor Brenda Ash and County Commissioner Ricky Jones. A raffle was held to benefit the Eastpoint Volunteer Fire Department.

Nautical Ventures offers a complete line of watercraft, including boats manufactured by Axopar, Bluewater, Brabus Marine, De Antonio Yachts, Fairline Yachts, Solaris Power Yachts, Windy Boats, and many others. In addition, there are Highfield Tenders, amidst a massive selection of boats, kayaks, engines, yacht toys, and more.
