Gulf-Franklin to host ‘Student Services: After Hours’ Tuesday
Gulf Coast State College is hosting its “Student Services: After Hours” event for Fall 2024 registration this Tuesday, July 30.
Formerly known as “Super Saturday,” this event is for prospective students interested in attending GCSC and current students ready to register for classes. The application fee is waived for all new students at this event.
After Hours will be held at the GCSC Gulf/Franklin Campus in Port St. Joe from 4 to 6 p.m. ET, and GCSC’s Charles Hilton Center on the Panama City campus from 4 to 6 p.m. CT.
After Hours is an all-encompassing event for current and prospective students to register for classes, receive student IDs and parking decals, and meet with representatives from various GCSC departments who can help answer questions and provide guidance.
Academic program advisors and specialists from Admissions, Advising, Enrollment Services and Financial Aid will be available to provide one-on-one assistance and guide attendees through the enrollment and registration process. Staff from Career Development, Veterans Services, TRiO and Student Accessibility Resources will also be on-hand to answer questions.

Meet the Editor
David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
