Library to host Alabama country duo

Otha Allen, Jr. and Kristi Leann will be the stars on stage at the Apalachicola Margaret Key Public Library on Wednesday, August 21 from 6 to 7:30 pm ET.

This duo hails from Samson, Alabama. While each were performing as solo artists, they met at a songwriting event and discovered their musical and personal chemistry.

Otha brings southern Alabama charm, soulful vocals and blues-inspired guitar chops to pair with Kristi’s powerful, angelic vocals and percussive rhythm. Last year they recorded their first country single “Made for Lovin Me” to add their personal touch to country music.

“We are eager to welcome this duo to our library’s Summer Music Series,” said Lucy Carter, librarian. “Their unique sound, complementing harmonies, incredible personalities and stories, make it easy to get caught up watching them perform their special kind of musical love.”

Admission to the concert is free, thanks to the 2022 Apalachicola Porchfest Committee and PALS, the Friends of the Library.  Refreshments will be available. Come early as seating is limited.
