Philaco helps out county seniors
Jackie Bell, president of the Philaco Woman’s Club of Apalachicola, last week presented a donation to the Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County (ECCC) volunteers Betsy Nofziger, center, and Glenna Smith, in photo above. Philaco’s cash donation also included 150 rolls of paper towels for the new year’s baskets. The Ukulillies, in photo below, performed songs for the club and were then treated to a lunch of homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts. Each year ECCC collects donations of cleaning, personal and kitchen items to be distributed to seniors in need in Franklin County.
To contribute, call Valentina Webb at 850-370-0116 or send a donation to ECCC, PO Box 335, Eastpoint, FL 32328 or use your credit card at PayPal.me/ecccfranklin. ECCC is a 501(c)(3) community organization with a mission to bridge the gaps in service to elders living in Franklin County.
