Barbershop quartet returns for Valentine’s Day

Have you thought about how you will surprise your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day?

Once again Ken Schroeder is bringing his acclaimed barbershop quartet, 4 Oysters in Search of a Pearl, to Apalachicola and surrounding area to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.

Renowned for their light-hearted repertoire and close harmonies, the quartet will sing individual Valentine serenades for sweethearts at a location anywhere in Apalachicola, Eastpoint, or St. George Island. The location is up to the sender – at home, at a bar or restaurant, place of work, or a special setting. Many opt for a surprise at work, at lunch, at a friend’s house, or somewhere public.

Individual serenades cost $50, and include three songs, a Valentine red flower, and a heart-shaped box of chocolates, along with the opportunity for a memorable photo. All proceeds support the expenses of the non-profit Capital Chordsmen Barbershop chorus in Tallahassee.

The Oysters will also entertain commercial customers and staff with a visit. Wandering through the business, providing song and entertainment to delight everyone, and bringing the customers back to future activities. All proceeds from tips go to the Carraway-Anton Scholarship fund managed by the Capital Chordsmen, who award up to five $1,000 scholarships annually to college students who sing with the chorus.

To book either a private Valentine Serenade, or a commercial Valentine Special, contact Schroeder at Ken@bryanthouse.com or 850-653-5662
