A 58-year-old Carrabelle man riding a bicycle out of his driveway on County Road 67 was struck and killed by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, at about 5:35 p.m. the bicyclist was traveling east out of a driveway in the 1600 block of CR 67 when he failed to yield the right of way to a pick-up traveling southbound on CR 67 near Dingler Court.
The truck was driven by a 38-year-old Apalachicola man, who was traveling with one passenger, a 34-year-old female from Kinard. Both were wearing seatbelts and neither was injured in the collision.
The report said the bicyclist entered the path of travel of the truck, and was struck by the truck’s front right bumper.
